Arc en Sels Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil CO2

Hippophae rhamnoides is a small shrub that grows on calcareous dunes, but also grows at high altitudes in the northern Himalayan region and produces fruits that are also called the sacred fruit of the Himalayas. The vegetable oil offered by Arc en Sels is extracted exclusively from the seeds by CO2 extraction, in order to preserve their precious properties and protect them from oxidation.

Known for thousands of years and used in particular in Central Asia by 8th century Tibetan monks, the oil is known in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine for its health benefits.

Properties

Sea buckthorn oil is one of the few vegetable oils that provides all four fatty acids: omega-3, omega-6, omega-7 and omega-9. This very high richness in fatty acids gives it regulating and regenerating properties. It is perfect for tired, dull skin that needs to be revitalised. Excellent anti-ageing potential, its powerful antioxidants combat free radical damage. These active ingredients stimulate the skin's repair mechanisms and soothe irritated skin.
